This shot was take at an intersection by my in - jurisprudence house on the Union Pacific ’s Main Line in Gilbert , AZ ; about 35 miles SE of Phoenix , AZ . The rack hybridise through the center of the intersection at a sloping which return it a unique perspective . I love gearing , I did n’t really even plan this guess , as you’re able to see I was in my automobile halt at the light when it can through and I just snapped snapped a few picture . I think this is the best of the exercise set . This nip was taken using an iPhone 4S with just the lineage exposure app .

Sugar Pike Railway
The committed photograph was taken on a notion while visiting my baby - in - law living near Yosemite . She recommended that I take a looking at this quaint little tourer layover along the way which turns out to be the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pike Railway . These gearing were used in the logging period between 1899 and 1931 to carry log off the muckle down to the valley where they could be mill and embark worldwide .

This was get at the Los Angeles Union Station . This room has been used in many movies include THE DARK KNIGHT arise , BLADE RUNNER and many more . The train in the shot was taken outside behind this construction . This elbow room is currently not being used and serves more as a museum . They say that the room may be put into operation someday . Enjoy the fancy pellet !

Some friend and I knew of a bridge that passes over a fairly busy wagon train line in Atlanta . We pay heed out on the bridge today ( 9/31 ) and snap some shots- It was hard than I thought to seize a nice crack ! There was a fence stymy access to the tracks and we were n’t lead to crusade our luck .. So we settle and did the good we could with the slant allow for . I end up prune out a parking lot in post and bringing out the cloud ( without lookingtoo HDR - ish ) since it made for a more interesting dig .
Equipment : Canon 70D , Sigma 17 - 50 f2.8 zoom . setting : 17 millimeter at f/13 , 1/800 sec . Post in Lightroom , including a pretty significant crop .

To look for a train , I went down to the cartroad in the nearby business district orbit . Unfortunately , no trains went by . My son was explore , and he found this plate and spike . There was some late upkeep to the tracks , which think of there was a tumid pile of railroad tie and persona lie in around .

I moved from NYC to SoCal almost 2 calendar week ago so trains are nothing new to me . While take to the woods errands down by the beach sunday morning I convey my camera along and snapped this picture along with a few others I was fond of . Yep that ’s what encounter . closing ensue , I had about .2 arcsecond to arrest this shot before it was his good turn to play with Thomas .
closing result a morsel dark and whatnot , but not a horrible stroke .
Some post processing in Photoshop to convince to black and white and to darken the edges .

This exposure was taken Friday , August 29 , 2014 . It shows a BNSF two-fold header crossing the Merchants Bridge ( 3 miles northerly of the St. Louis Arch),over the Mississippi , from Missouri to Illinois at crepuscle . take with a Canon EOS 5D and a Canon EF 70 - 200 1:4 Zoom crystalline lens . Exposure was 1/30 sec at f.4 , 91 mm , ISO 500 at 7:39 pm . , 8 - 29 - 14 . I used a monopod to steady the turnout in the low luminousness . That was all the equipment I had on me because I was on my bicycle on the bike trail that run by there .
