What does Sony have planned for their Spider - Man film universe after the release ofVenom ? The answer may surprise you , because they for certain surprise us .
There had been programme for aSilver and contraband celluloid , featuring Marvel Comics character Silver Sable and Black Cat and directed by Gina Prince - Bythewood . That task has now been shelved , but in its place arise two Modern motion picture . Sony will now make a solo Black Cat motion-picture show — which will retain Prince - Bythewood as a producer but most likely not as the manager — and a solo Silver Sable picture show .
Variety had the scoopon that news and even more happening in what Sony internally calls Sony ’s Universe of Marvel Characters , SUMC for short . We ’re not sell on that name .
design fora Morbius moving picture , directed by Daniel Espinosa and asterisk Jared Leto , as well as aKraven the Hunter movie , written by Richard Wenk , are still on the table . In accession , Sony is looking for writers to take on Silk ( which we ’d already had Book of ) but also Jackpot and Nightwatch , who are fairly hidden characters in Spider - Man lore .

That ’s the reason why it ’s think Venom will terminate up being PG-13 , so that its main character , and others , can cross over in future pic . That crosswalk could potentially also involve Disney ’s Marvel Cinematic Universe — which is likely to soon includethe XTC - Men as a result of the Fox deal — if the Sony / Disney relationship oblige .
