You ca n’t really blame Samuel L. Jackson for believe powerfully that his Star Wars fictional character did n’t really die . He did n’t go out in the most dignified mode .
Answering a motion about whose idea it was for Mace Windu to go in Revenge of the Sith , Jackson ended his answer with “ In my mind , I ’m not numb . Jedis can fall incredibly high distances and not die . ”

He double down on that opinion on theEntertainment Weekly planet radio set show , reduplicate the idea that Jedis can shine really far , tote up , “ And there ’s a long history of one - handed Jedi . So why not ? ”
Jackson revealed that the only person actually involved Star Wars he ’d talked to about it was George Lucas . “ George is like , ‘ I ’m fine with that . you may be live , ” said Jackson .

No clue if that was just George being civilized , doing another retcon , or just not caring about messing with Star Wars any longer , but Lucas ’ support of the hypothesis make it a wad more valid . Just opine a pissed - off , one - handed Mace Windu hiding out on his equivalent of Dagobah or Tatooine . It ’s a lovely epitome .
