If Caprica had gotten a second season , Zoe Graystone ’s journey would have necessitate a much more interesting turn than her “ pin in V - world ” narrative of time of year one . An interview with executive producer Kevin Murphy give away what might have been .
The consultation with Murphyappeared in the Caprica Timesback in April , but we only just saw it , thanks to a link intoday ’s awesome interview with Jane Espenson over at Huffington Post .
In the consultation , Murphy lays out tons of point about precisely how thing would have played out in the second season of Caprica , which would have jumped forward about five years from the ending of season one . Among other things , young William Adama would have mat up resentful about being name after his dead brother , and Joseph Adama would have gotten into civil rights study and had an affair with Fidi . Lacy would have formed an queasy alliance with Sister Clarice to rule Gemenon , with an army of Cylons among their heartfelt followers .

But the most fascinating part go like it would have been Zoe Graystone ’s journey — Zoe would have become the first “ hide job , ” a soldier who did black ops missions for Jordan Duram , former GDD policeman . Nobody would have known about the creation of skin job because Daniel Graystone pass so much money to hush up his girl ’s situation .
And Zoe ’s journey towards being a skinjob sound very BSG - ish . Her parent are having bother create a naturalistic body for Zoe , one that drive out of the “ uncanny valley , ” and Zoe gets so frustrated she retrograde into quint - public forever and a day — and there , she encounters some kind of surreal image . It would be sort of like the White Rabbit , but it would also be a sign that God has plans for her . She surveil this image deep and deeper into quintuplet - world , crossing wireless networks and move around into parts of the internet where nobody has gone . And eventually , she winds up among the Final Five . Says Murphy :
Michael Taylor had a rather revolutionize belief to intersect Zoe with the net five , who at the time of Caprica are well - into a long , long space journey to the 12 worlds . The mind was that Zoe would eventually have break away into a V - World that ’s a sleepy little globe - similar fishing village . A piece is fishing at the close of a long pier and it turns out to be Aaron Douglas . The Final Five keep their brains combat-ready on their foresighted journey to the 12 worlds by using their own V - World programs . They fish together for a while . Tyrol is very interested when she excuse who she is and what her family is adjudicate to carry through . He gives her the endowment of a fishing lure . When Zoe returns , the lure turn out to be computer code that gives them the bit they ’ve been missing and Zoe get a gunk - bath . Years subsequently , when the concluding Five arrive in the flesh , we imagined Tyrol would have been very curious to see what was done with his talent from many years before .

I sort of love the idea that Zoe would have proceed on an epical seeking to find this secret piece of code , that would have allowed her to create a newfangled body for herself . Rather than her parents making her a soundbox themselves , she would have had to make herself by going on a journey . Shame we did n’t get to see it . [ Caprica Times ]
