bicyclist journey the car - fill up streets of a city have one more fortune to worry about – sinister carbon from air defilement .
A recent study look at the the respiratory wellness of Londoners who bicycle or walk to work . The team take in phlegm sample and measured the amount of black carbon each group breathe in . They discovered cyclists had inhaled 2.3 times more of the foul hooey than their walking friend .
The team attribute this unhealthy increase to the biker ’s higher breathing rate . Though bikers could get to work faster and spent less time in the polluted airwave , they took in more air because of their practise . They are also on the road , nearer to the railway car and their exhaust fumes . Just adorable . [ European Respiratory SocietyviaScientific American ]
