Disney ’s biggest secretisn’t a secret at all . It ’s that before any of its animated production significantly move ahead , the filmmaker use raspy storyboards to plot out the whole picture show . They thenscreen it for internal audiencesto get feedback . That feedback is put up , changes are made , and then it happens again and again until everyone check it works . And it unremarkably does .
Audiences generally do n’t get to see those former versions though . Why would they need to ? It ’s just a bunch of cacography . However , when viewed side by side with the final version of the film , seeing the live evolution of the outgrowth can be a magnificent sight . And , if it just so happens to be a panorama that you could take in over and over again , even well .
That ’s all preamble to this great video Disney Animation posted today of the early storyboards and final footage of theincredible “ Into the Unknown ” musical sequence from Frozen II . Enjoy .
