On Sunday , the US Geological Survey ’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatoryupdated its status report accordingly :
HVO scientists keep an eye on that a 30 m by 5 m ( 98 ft by 16 ft ) helping of the block seaward of the blistering whirl REMAINED AFTER THE 12:55 p.m. flop on Feb. 2 . A importantly larger chunk come down into the sea generating a detectable , but not unco heavy , wave broadcast outwards from the rockfall locating . The proportion of the collapsed block have not yet been documented .
The lava flow , name 61 g , has captured the tending of geologist and much of the humans since it first appear late last month .
