Dorit KemsleyandPaul “PK” Kemsleyare getting honest about how her issues with PTSD have been the root ofsome of their problems.

On Wednesday’s episode ofThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dorit, 47, and PK, 56, invited a couple’s counselor into their home to get to the bottom of some of their marital issues. In the session, Dorit opened up about her PTSD from her2021 robberyand how its affected their marriage.

“My biggest issue was that after the home invasion, I really needed PK around,” she confessed in a conversation with cameras. “And he was traveling all the time. He wasn’t here for me, not physically, and not emotionally, really. The passes, the patience — those are now used up. It’s time for him to show up.”

“I tried to tell you and you just had a reaction that was very defensive,” she admitted before PK interrupted, “Does PTSD require you to discuss it there?”

When Dorit took offense to his line of questioning, he noted that he didn’t take kindly to the fact Dorit shared her grievances with the surprise during their anniversary dinner.

“There isn’t a frickin' husband in the world that would have taken kindly to what she said, when she said it after what I’d just done. Do you understand? It felt a little bit of a ‘f— you,'” he continued.

As Dorit and their therapist beganexplaining the nature of her PTSDand where her anxiety came from, PK confessed there were “elements I understand” and “elements that I don’t consider are PTSD.”

“I consider they’re more obnoxious,” he added, noting how she’s gotten more “high maintenance” over the years. The conversation became a little heated and Dorit made an effort bring things back to the specific “triggers” that have affected her PTSD.

“It’s like I’m a totally new person and I can’t do anything about it. Do you have any idea how difficult that is? And what it’s like to live with that?” she sighed as she noted that she wants PK to comfort her when she informs him of her “episodes.”

“These are the times that truly test your relationship. This particular bad time where I need PK and it’s not the other way around. He’s coming up really short,” Dorit said to cameras before PK revealed he’s struggled to balance his work and his personal life in a confessional of his own.

The real estate professional told his wife he had an overwhelming desire to understand her PTSD but asked Dorit to give him a chance to fully grasp the severity of her new triggers.

As she comforted her husband on screen, Dorit told cameras, “What I needed is for PK not only to get a better grasp of what I’m going through, [but also] to want to be there for me. If we can do that together, him when I will succeed. If he can’t, I don’t know what the future holds.”
