Shania Twainis taking a stroll down memory lane.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the singer, 59, recalls performing during theSuper BowlXXXVII halftime show in 2003.
“That was a really exciting moment,” Twain recalls. “I think I was quite numb. I can remember feeling a little like I was in a tunnel or something. It was such an overwhelming and chaotic environment around me.”

Twain opened the show with her iconic song “Man! I Feel like a Woman!” before she performed her then-new song “Up!”

No Doubt then appeared onstage together to sing their hit “Just a Girl.” During the performance, lead singerGwen Stefaniad-libbed lines, including, “I’m just a girl at the Super Bowl.”

Still, the “Waking Up Dreaming” musician says she will “get a lot of pleasure” when she thinks about the show, adding, “I was part of a much bigger thing than a Shania performance. It was massive.”
This year, Twain stars in anew commercialforCoffee mate, in which she plays a singing version of a tongue to promote the brand’s cold foam creamers. Kendrick Lamar will headline the2025 Super Bowlhalftime show, withSZAas a special guest.
Super Bowl LIX — where theKansas City Chiefswill face off against thePhiladelphia Eaglesat the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans — will take place on Sunday, Feb. 9.
